*The deadline for the Wolsonovich is this Friday, March 16. You must set up a SMART AID account to apply for this scholarship. Contact our STA Business Manager, Mrs. Moeglin with any questions.
*Please check the STA website for other scholarships available and their respective deadlines.
*All STA students and staff may wear dress down and Wear Green day on Friday, March 16 to commemorate Fr. Dyer’s birthday which is on St. Patrick’s Day. As always, no tight fitting pants such as leggings or tights may be worn and no holes in pants will be permitted.
* There will be a senior class parents meeting Monday, March 26 at 7:00 in the commons. Important prom, graduation, and end of the year information will be shared at this meeting.
* The Villain’s Last Page will be performed on Friday, March 16 and Saturday March 17 at the Palace Theatre. This is a play produced jointly by STA and CCHS students. Tickets may be purchased at STA or at the Palace Theatre.
* The St. Thomas Aquinas Auction, Aquinas Gold, is March 24 at La Pizzeria in Canton. This is Aquinas’ biggest fundraiser of the year and we need everyone’s support to make it a success. The auction is a great time with many amazing items available to bid on including some vacation getaways and the most adorable well-behaved puppy! PLease send in your reservation as soon as possible.
* The remainder of my announcements are for middle school students and their parents:
*Candy Delivery will be Friday March 16. Many orders will go home with students. If you are expecting a large order, please come to the school to pick up your items between the hours of 1-3.
*Sixth grade camping trip money was due last Thursday. There are several students whom we have not heard from. Please let your teacher know if you plan to attend this fun-filled trip. An extension has been given for any student still wanting to attend. I strongly recommend this trip for all 6th graders. I am attending and hope to have as many 6th graders as possible attend with me. All money is due no later than Friday March 16.
*Final payment for Washington DC is due on or before March 16. Please bring in your final payment as soon as possible. There will be no more extensions for this trip.
*Permission slips for students in grades 6-8 attending The Villain’s Last Page is due by Monday . There is no cost to students for this trip. We will be back in school in time for our regularly scheduled lunch. Uniforms must be worn for this field trip.
*Seventh and 8th grade students attending the Vocation Fair at St. Michael’s School must have permission slips in by Friday march 16. Lunch will be provided by St. Michael’s School. This field trip is scheduled for Monday March 19.
*All Middle School Spring Sports pictures will take place on Saturday March 17 along with the High School. Please see your coach for picture forms.
*Grades 6 and 7 will be taking IOWA Tests March 12-20. Students should come to school on time so they are able to take the test with their peers. Students arriving after 8:00 will not be permitted in the testing classroom and will remain in the office until testing is complete.
*There will be a free hot breakfast served to all 6th grade students prior to the departure for camp on Wednesday March 21. Breakfast will include eggs, sausage and juice.
