The first Home and School meeting is Thursday, October 12 in the school Commons. Please plan to attend to meet the new Association President and help with upcoming events.
The STARS breakfast recognizing academic achievement of high school students is this Tuesday, October 10th. Seniors who attend Walsh University do not have classes at Walsh University on that day, so they will be able to attend the STARS breakfast. Breakfast will start at 7:45 and the program will begin at 8:15.
Don’t forget to buy Jackpot Raffle tickets. The drawing to win $5,000 is October 27th at the football game.
High school parents are asked to continue to encourage their children to work on service hours. There are plenty of opportunities posted on the Service Board in the Attendance office. Some options include the St Paul Auction, the Quarter Auction for Aultman Hospital, the Regina Coeli spaghetti dinner, and a Halloween party at St. Joseph Care Center. Students can see Mrs. May for details. Please encourage your son or daughter to complete their service hour requirement early in the school year.
On Thursday, Oct. 19th, all are invited to attend the Sandy Hook Promise program to help prevent gun violence in schools. The Sandy Hook Promise is a national non-profit organization founded and led by several family members whose loved ones were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14, 2012. Come join the millions of people who have made the promise to help prevent gun violence in schools on Thursday, Oct. 19. The program will be repeated several times in the commons during all the mods throughout the day. Call the office for details.
Have a great Aquinas Week!
