President and CEO of the Stark County Regional Catholic School System and Pastor of Christ the Servant Parish Msgr. was born and reared in Canton and North Canton, completing his elementary and secondary education at Our Lady of Peace and Central Catholic High School, He received his BA from the Athenaeum of Ohio; MA from West Virginia University, and Doctorate from St. Mary’s Seminary in Cleveland. Msgr. was ordained May 18, 1973 and is a priest of the Diocese of Youngstown; being named a Prelate of Honor by Pope John Paul II in 1990. Prior to his current assignments Msgr. served from 2003 – 2007 as Director of Campus Ministry, University Chaplain, Associate Professor and Chair of Theology at Walsh University Currently he serves as a board member for The Sisters of Charity Foundation of Canton, St. Thomas Aquinas High School, and the Ken Hamilton Forum; a member of the Catholic Consortium of Stark County, and the Canton Rotary of Stark County; and has served as the Chair of the Justice Committee of the Diocesan Presbyteral Council. During the growing season (May-Sept) he oversees the pastoral care and celebration of Mass for the Hartville Migrant Families “Stark County is my home and the acre of God’s world that I have been called to serve as a priest and I love what I am doing. One of my favorite movies is Pay It Forward. God has gifted me with an abundance of enthusiasm and energy which I hope is used in paying it forward for the spiritual and educational foundation that began at Our Lady of Peace and for the people that I have been so fortunate to call colleagues, parishioners, and friends.”
