A note from Coach Crawford:
Congratulations to those who took part in today’s meet at Akron. There were several noteworthy performances and some high school debuts today. We have only been keeping track of indoor records since I started coaching here in 2002 but there really wasn’t much in the way of indoor track before that time anyway. So today we actually set 4 new school records. They are Taylor Looby with her 9.48 in the 60 hurdles and her 8.57 in the 60 meters. The 4×200 team of Taylor, Mary Oyster, Kacee Soehnlen and Rachael Adams with a time of 1:55.93. Topping it off was Athena Welsh with a 5:22.35 in the 1600.
It was especially good to see our newcomers, Allison May in the high jump, Kacee Soehnlen in the 4×200, Kalee Soehnlen in the 4×800 and 1600 and Cristina Sicard in the 400. Although she isn’t new it was good to see Taylor back in action after a hard year of rehabbing her knee. She is definitely back!
