  • Mission Statement

Through a volunteer organization, complement and enhance the athletic experience of each participating St. Thomas Aquinas male and female student-athlete in their pursuit of truth, scholarship, and excellence, especially in athletic competition, sportsmanship, discipline, and personal development.

    Purpose

Provide a single school-wide volunteer organization in support of all male and female athletic teams at St. Thomas Aquinas in collaboration and coordination with the administration, coaches, parents, and volunteers in order to maximize and coordinate fund raising, event planning and execution, and general support activities of all athletic, band, and cheerleading teams.

    Organizational Structure

Board Members – President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary, along with three or five additional general Board members. Decisions requiring a Board vote will be approved with a simple majority.

Guiding principal in decision making – “Everyone can have a say but not everyone can have their way.”

Organization functions under the joint direction of the leadership team with advisory oversight from current Athletic Director and Business Manager.

All seven (7) or nine (9) Board positions and terms are limited to one year with voting or consensus elections established to determine future Board members. The inaugural Board members for the ‘08/’09 school year will be determined by the steering committee.

KNAC will be responsible for all concession and school apparel sales throughout the year. Both concessions and apparel will be lead by a chair person for a period of one year and will be recruited and selected by the Board.

KNAC will be responsible for all additional sources of athletic revenue including:

    • 50/50 raffles at all athletic games and events
    • Signage program for all athletic facilities – through the Corporate Sponsorship Program
    • Special events i.e. Steak Fry, Pig Roast, Monte Carlo Night, Reverse Raffle, etc.

    • Special fund raising activities approved, conducted, results.
    • Total annual budget including both during and off season.
