Throughout the year, St. Thomas Aquinas sponsors a number of activities that allow prospective students and their families may learn more about the school and all the great things that happen here.
Fall Open House
Make sure you stop by and meet Fr. Thomas Dyer, our President & CEO, and Mr. Joseph Vagedes, our Principal. You will be able to discuss any questions you may have about the school and athletics with teachers and coaches and go on a tour of the school.
2013 Fall Parent Information Night will be held on Monday, November 11, 2013 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Valuable information and tours will be available.
Grade school visitation days
Stark and Portage County area 5th, 6th and 8th grade school students visit St. Thomas Aquinas to tour the school, meet the teachers and enjoy a complimentary lunch. The students will have a great opportunity to meet a number of Aquinas students and faculty during the visit. Parents are also welcome to attend.
8th grade visitation date for the 2013-2014 school year will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013.
The “Explore” Scholarship Placement Exam will be given to all interested 8th graders on Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 9 a.m. til noon. There is NO cost to take this exam.
A make-up Placement Exam is scheduled for Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Call Bridget Moeglin at 330-875-1631 to reserve a testing spot for your 8th grade student. If you cannot make that date, please call Stacey Dougherty at 330-875-1631, Ext. 301, to make an individual appointment to take the exam.
5th and 6th grade visitation day for the 2013-2014 school year will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014.
The best way to gain an understanding of what St. Thomas Aquinas has to offer your child is for them to visit for a day. This shadow experience is highly recommended and will allow your child to gain an understanding of what a typical day is like for a St. Thomas Aquinas student. Please call in advance to schedule a shadow day.
